A lot of Villagers not wanting to go to bed #461

Describe the bug Since the latest patch(es). Night comes. A lot of villagers go to bed but a lot of them just stay up. Sometimes they seem to go to bed in the middle of the night for no reason.

To Reproduce

  1. Wait til night
  2. Watch as villagers just eerily stand still in the dead of night.

Expected behavior For them to go to bed

****ALL of these screenshots are from the same night. All of these came from me having been inside the town for more than 2 gamedays. I didn't load unload anything. I just afked in the town hall. I came out in the middle of the night to check because they had been doing this since the latest patch(es).

Same night just after the rest of these were taken I noticed my bard walking out of my mines for some reason then I realized all of the villagers i just took a screenshot of seemed to be finally going to sleep.

Taken of the moon past it's zenith just after noticing the above bard and rest of villagers going to bed. I am unsure if they only went to bed in the middle of the night when moon was highest or what.

What are the world coordinates of your town hall marker? 7078 71 149

Additional context Other than it being creepy... the biggest issue I see is that this happens to my lumberjacks while they are outside of my gate chopping trees. I watced one sit out most the night before I decided to use a lead to bring him into safety.

I have seen at least users state this is happening to them as well since the patch. One mentioned something with his 6 house beds being yellow and bugged for them (Jedap). I did a bed check and the correct number of beds appeared to be green. The villagers just decided not to use them until very late.

OK this appears to be tied to the tavern. I had a suspicion that the 'groups' that would get stuck out at night until mid night that always seemed to include the bard as well were actually supposed to be going to the tavern. I took my tavern down. now the only one standing around is my bard who went to bed at midnight.

Update 2: after 4 or so nights of them not getting stuck out... they got stuck out again. still no tavern up... so tavern may not be the issue. around 8 villagers some in storage some in pens etc.

There hunger also goes down and they will not eat during this time. RIP lvl 100 chef

Even when midnight passes some don't seem to make it to bed anyways. They start moving at around midnight then just stop similar to #456

We've been having these issues on What If Server 1 also.

I have a village with just ten villagers: four farmers; two lumberjacks; one miner; one guard; one rancher; and one chef. I do not have a tavern. From what I've noticed, about a third of my villagers will freeze in place wherever they are at any given sunset. A little way into the night, they will unfreeze and make their way to bed. I believe this coincides with when the villagers in their homes decide to stop socializing and go to bed.

My villagers have been getting progressively more and more unhappy, and I believe it is due to them missing out on their evening social time. This, in turn, is making it much less likely that I might have a heart spawn. I have yet to have a single heart in my village since I started it earlier this week. Also, due to my village size, I almost never get visiting nomads, making it nearly impossible to grow my village.

Same problem in 1.0.40 if I lead them home they'll sleep if I ignore them they don't move.

I'm still having villagers standing around at least until midnight as of 1.0.43.

They also stand still even if you have a Tavern. This isn't the biggest deal for me but it is to other people and will be to me when I get the Tavern as they don't even use it cause of the issue.
