Villagers not using doors? #591

Describe the bug Some villagers are unable to open doors when they go to bed at night and wake up in the morning. It seems to happen randomly but I have 25+ villagers and this happens to at least 4 every day.

To Reproduce

  1. Wait until sunrise and/or sunset.
  2. Look for villagers being stuck at doors.

Expected behavior They should open doors when going to bed and waking up.

For now I just make it a part of my daily routine to go around and open doors for the ones that get stuck. :)

We have noticed the same thing and were going to post this today.

For some reason door technology has become difficult for our villagers.

This has become a regular issue for me aswell. It seems to happen when two villagers on different sides of the door attempt to use the door at the same time. Once the player opens the door, the villager passes through but does not close it behind them self as usual.

Occurs in singleplayer also.

This is now a big problem in my village, I spend half the day running around checking villagers aren't stuck.

It's also allowed me to report a new bug with doors and the pathfinding system, #667
