Bug: not using coal #841

Open stickrai opened 4 years ago

stickrai commented 4 years ago

Describe the bug In this case it's my chef. There is plenty of (villager) coal from the miners so I have "smelt charcoal" off. Instead of using all the mighty coal, he grabs wood instead.

Expected behavior I expect him to use the coal that's there for using.

Does your chef have x8 or more of a single item to cook at once? If I remember from Tangos video on the Chef, don't they try to be efficient with fuel and use something like wood if they only have 1 or 2 of an item and coal/charcoal if they have 6, 7 or 8 of an item? (Rather than coal/charcoal to smelt a single item)

I have also noticed my chefs fill some furnaces with wood and some with coal/charcoal but at the time he had no items to smelt.

hmm thats a bit troublesome nonetheless, as wood is used for other things than fuel, as well as the fact that 1 log is far less efficient fuling than having tons of coal, as 1 wood is basically worth a charcoal. Maybe it could be looked into?
