Bugs on multiplayer server #942

Describe the bug

  1. Villagers massively slow down speed and performance when further away from player than about 35ish blocks.
  2. Because of error 1, villagers cant run away from zombie attacks fast enough leading to death.
  3. During mid-night cycle, villagers (such as lumberjacks in my case) open the door while hostile mods are outside, get attacked, close the door, wait a few seconds, then repeats till death.

Expected behavior

  1. Villagers should maintain a relatively even performance while within the village boundaries while player is also with the boundaries, (or even just a moderate range like 90 blocks).
  2. Villagers (with the exception of guards) will not try to leave homes after dusk and before dawn.

Server/Location What server were you playing on? The ip is: ytorian.sknd.host Main(Survival) What are the world coordinates of your town hall marker? 850, 68, 1599

Additional context I know it is early on for servers and they will have bugs, but these are major concerns for me and any other player.

Our bug testing for the mod pre launch has mainly been on Tangos patreon server so it is server tested (which is what server location is about in the bug report as this github was meant for the patreon testing). This isn't one we've experienced. It sounds more like a server config setting. If youre using anything like spigot or sponge look for a setting like entity-activation-range
