I would add more text about what you do. Ex: you mentioned you did robotics, but I would add details such as: what is robotics? What team are you on? What is your role in the team?
Same thing for some other stuff
Maybe add links (ex: link to your github, Optix website, LinkedIn if you have one)

The glowing effect is cool, and I like the image carousel. However, the light version of the theme makes the text very hard to see. Also, if you made the images side by side and scaled properly for your images, it would improve the look of your about page and be a more efficient use of space. Overall, your site looks great!
