Deletion of all previous tags when editing a new tag #11

Open Tariq-droid opened 1 year ago

Tariq-droid commented 1 year ago

Previous tags will all be deleted when adding a new tag. This is a problem as sometimes tasks become urgent and the user wants to add the "Urgent" tag on it. However, doing so will result in the deletion of all previous tasks

Team's Response

We find this a duplicate issue as there have already been a different issue regarding editing tags. And should a feature be implemented to solve this, both issues will be solved.

The app is still completely useable and the user can still achieve what they want using completely normal means.

While we agree that this is something that could be worked on as a future feature, this feature is lower priority than the work already done in v1.4.

The 'Original' Bug

[The team marked this bug as a duplicate of the following bug]

Cannot edit previous tags

You can only delete all previous tags and add a new one. You cannot edit a previous one

Their Response to the 'Original' Bug

[This is the team's response to the above 'original' bug]

We find that the severity of high is inappropriate as the app is still completely useable and the user can still achieve what they want using completely normal means.

While we agree that this is something that could be worked on as a future feature, this feature is lower priority than the work already done in v1.4.

Furthermore, we feel that this should be a feature flaw as it is an implementation that makes the app slightly less useable for this specific scenario and our applications works exactly as claimed.

 Issue duplicate status

Team chose to mark this issue as a duplicate of another issue (as explained in the Team's response above)

Reason for disagreement: [replace this with your explanation]

## Issue response Team chose [`response.NotInScope`] - [x] I disagree **Reason for disagreement:** [I am not 100% sure whether this is in scope or not. I think it is not "lower priority" as this makes the edit function more like a clear everything function then add. On the other hand, they did state this in the UG. I will leave it to the graders to determine this]
## Issue severity Team chose [`severity.Low`] Originally [`severity.Medium`] - [x] I disagree **Reason for disagreement:** [It definitely affects the user experience tremendously making him rewrite all the tags whenever he wants to add a new tag]
