I think it would be advantageous if there would be a mechanism that the native speakers of a language somehow could be notified (if they wish) if some vocabulary item (i.e., wanted sentences) in their language is added.

By my experiences most vocabulary items remain unnoticed (unless the native speakers regulary check the items).

How about adding this information in the home page? Something like "Last Wanted Vocabulary".

That would be great as well!

I strong believe that feature would avoid users adding sentences in languages they are not "so" fluent and also not frustrating because they didn't get a sentence they requested (even when they get).

I'd like to highlight the first reply to this suggestion:

I have had a look at the vocabulary items that need sentences and most of them are relatively rare words. It's quite hard even for a native speaker to make sentences with such words. Such words are sometimes rare even in the largest online corpora.

It seems that even if native speakers would be more aware of the vocabulary wanted, we would still have a lot of unfulfilled requests because people simply don't have the inspiration to create sentences for these vocabulary items.

In any case we should solve #1473 first. It's probably quite demotivating to see a list of vocabulary full of typos or in the wrong language.
