Cannot fix metadata on episode, rating key does not change

How can we reproduce your issue? Unsure.. I'm pretty sure that removing and re-adding files to plex sometimes does this, but it should be possible to simply fix metadata

Info: Some how the info on my jack ryan show got desynced Here you see 2 different playbacks of the same episode. But if I go to that episode there is only one playback

If I go to the lower of the two, here's how it looks: Only one playback.

If I press "Fix Metadata" and select the correct episode Everything is fine. But nothing happens, the old rating key does not change.

I did this process and then downloaded the logs.

Have you actually confirmed the rating key is different on your Plex server?

I'm not sure how I would double check that, how ever let me show some examples.

I just started the episode again and Tautulli sees that: 3 playbacks

If I click the top or second one (Tautulli Rating key 264112):

And the bottom one (Tautulli Rating key 263979):

Try it from the show level.

With the same rating keys I tried before: "Unable to update metadata in database. No changes were made."

You need the show's rating key.

And what should I input as new rating key?

If the show level rating key hasn't changed inside the Tautulli database, then just enter the same number.

I dont think it's gotten a new rating key for the show, but I'm not sure.. I only see one jack ryan in my library

Same "Updated metadata in database."

Nothing changed.

Then it's probably not updating because you have one episode already listed under two different rating keys in the database. You will have to manually edit the database if you want to fix it.

I'm closing this issue because this is not a bug report.

Or try switching to the nightly branch. Reverse sorting might do the trick.

I'm going to delete the show from plex and re-add it and then hopefully it works, Thanks for your help :)
