QR Code Scanning #1

As a taxi rider, I would like to be able to scan a taxi's QR code and see information about that cab and its driver, e.g. the customer service rating of the cab, whether the license is current/legitimate, when the last vehicle safety rating was performed.

I would also be curious to see whether we could use the Android devices that are often seen in cabs around Nashville nowadays as Bluetooth beacons. This would prevent a taxi rider from having to scan a code (especially if it's on the outside of a cab, the lighting conditions could make this really difficult), and the beacon could just notify the rider's device to pull the information automatically.

After talking to Public Works about this, we decided to place an iBeacon in each cab.
