If you got this project to work could you give a oi out to the chip so I can know where to wire? Or is it the same as the original wiring?

Seconded! Plus the ESP32 is more powerful and faster than the crappy ESP8266 module so we at least need some more info on this if Team Digital Fairy is still doing this.

It's fine if you're trying to find the time, money and help for this. I may not know anything about the ESP32 pinout for the GBSC IF it were done with said module with improvements over the ESP8266 module version then IDK, you could find some forums and ask in them like the Shmups forums perhaps. If anyone is willing to help out with the GBSC ESP32 improvement and if it uses Arduino like the ESP8266 version then I'd be willing to try it with a pre-built GBSC one day when I receive it.
