What was this issue supposed to be? Is it using the CUI instead of Falcon encoders?

Yes, it seems to be adding support for CUI in place of the falcon encoders but at the moment that seems like pretty low priority.

That sounds right. I really like the Falcon encoders. They seem to be very reliable, and given our issues last year, anything that we can have pre-wired for us seems like it would be good to keep that way. I will close this issue
