Ore Gen #298

Hello, I've recently started your mod pack and have a question about ore gen. Researching the ore through REI indicates veins and not Y level? Apologies, I've not seen this before and don't understand it. I am playing rel. 2.6.7 (noticed rel. 2.6.9) using Ecotones for the world type. I simply cannot fine Copper, Tin, Bauxite, etc. Mined at lvl 11 and 45 for quite some time. I can find Certus quartz. Do I have an issue, am I in the wrong biome, are these ores only in cave systems? Thanks for your or anyone's help. I tried researching through search and other means before posting here and could not find anything on the topic.

Update: I created a default world instead of an Ecotones world and the ore gen is working. I am going to play the Default world instead but you may want to test the ore gen in Ecotones. If you don't find an issue then it may very well have been a corrupted gen for me.
