I saved my game last night while playing a patched CIA version of my FE:if Special Edition (as I'm running on a CFW N3DS) and when I launched the game and entered the main menu just a moment ago, I got a popup in Japanese that had untranslated text, and press A icon.
I am on the main menu at the moment, and the bottom screen has something that has "250" in the text. I'm not sure if it means I can buy another path for 250 yen, but I did back up my save data before I launched it to ensure that it doesn't get overwritten by mistake. The icon with the blue text (slots 4 - 6) on the Save/Load screen isn't translated either - the main menu says something about being careful with DLC and SD Cards.
I can provide photos of the said menus if you want. Another thing worth mentioning is that I also got a japanese notification about a software update or additional content for the game on my English AU 3DS.
