Generally i think the carnivore diet of being a werewolf is too strict along with needing to acquire a perk
i feel like if you should still be able to go outside the diet but you get inflicted with Hunger or get absolutely no food from the meal.
Mod experience
With my experience using the mod i often found many mods would use non-meat consumables for applying effects or as a utility, as a example i can give Cyclic, which features edibles that give permanent inventory space, and step height, while your a werewolf unless you consumed these items before getting afflicted you cannot unlock those upgrades unless you adjusted the settings for the mod. if you were on a server that couldn't be easily done
I find if you could go outside the diet at a penalty it make this mod way less conflicting with others.
