Yes please I fully back this suggestion 👍 Otherwise it loses the real use of history logs ;) Thank you!!
Support this, we definitely need search in history
If there's not already a CR to add search function to playlists and background player, please consider doing that if it fits this CR.
I would suggest to add an option in Settings like "store History entries up to e.g 3/6/12 month" or a maximum number of entries or similar. Thanks!
I came here to also agree with this request.
I also note that you can sort by most played and by date watched, but I can't switch the sort order z->A or whatever.
lists in NP soon become huge. I suggest adding inline search in those, History as a first place. Alternatively the search (that exists) could consolidate YT search with History items.
Devs, can this please be taken up? It's been >4.5y since this was raised but it still hasn't been implemented. It's a very useful feature that would come in handy often while using NP. Thankyou for all your work! :)
For watched videos, I believe we need a search engine for the history feature. I watch dozens of videos daily and in total I probably have watched 1000+ videos. Rather than having to scroll down endlessly to find that video that I completely forgot about, I can search for that video. I don't remember what the title of the video is, but I knew what it was about. I don't have to lookup the entire title instead I can just partially look up the title.
I have over 200 subscriptions and around 50+ playlists on NewPipe all ranging from different topics such as conspiracies, history, gaming, etc. Instead of endlessly scrolling down to find my subscriptions, I can just put them in a certain category so I know what each channel is about. Sometimes when I see the name of a channel, I completely forget why I subscribed and what their content was about.I have a lot of science channels and I don't remember all their names. If I put them all into one category labeled "Science" I don't have to think about what that channel is and what's it about. It's already put in a category. Same with history and gaming channels. I can put all my history subscriptions into a category called "History"Same applies to playlists, I have dozens of playlist all ranging from different subjects, I can create a category and place all those playlists into that category.
