@mhmdanas That issue is closed. Also, I am not sure where the discussion for not adding 'Watch Later' took place.
However, this issue has a better discussion. So, I'd prefer to reopen this instead.

I know; I asked the author to post a comment there so that it might give a chance for the issue to be re-opened.

All of this can be said in that issue.
@mhmdanas I'm not sure if the issue author is any longer interested. Both Stypox and author presented their own perspectives. If it was super important for the author, he'd have responded.
Also, "Watch Later" is a very basic feature. So, a recent issue with better explanation should stay open. Also, I doubt if it'd be wise to reopen an issue where both dev and author decided to continue conversation no longer.

An issue is not a black box. Anybody can comment, users and developers alike. It doesn't belong to the author or something like that.

See above.
In any case, this has gone off-topic. I'm re-opening and hiding our comments.
I would even further ask for an action/button "Watch later" in popup notifications.
This request would not make any sense without a dedicated "Watch later" list, therefore I didn't open a dedicated issue for this.
Checklist
Describe the feature you want
I'm proposing a dedicated Watch Later playlist, with its own icon.
Currently, you'd have to make a playlist then add videos you want to save for later to that playlist. But there are two issues:
This playlist wouldn't have to behave any different than other playlists, except:
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe it
The problem is that it takes too many steps to save videos, and is cumbersome if you are using a TV remote. YouTube, Spotify, DailyMotion, Plex, and many others, all have one-click watchlist capability. I'm also excluding streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video which don't do playlists, but have similar behaviors.
Additional context
I'm primarily a Google TV/Chromecast user, so I'm thinking about usability with a TV remote, but the suggestion does stand when used on a phone or a tablet.
How will you/everyone benefit from this feature?
Users will benefit because this will help NewPipe's UX align with other similar applications and services. I don't think anyone wants NewPipe to be a 1:1 clone of YouTube or another service, but basic features should be common and should operate the same way to reduce user friction.
