What feature do you want?

It would be nice to be able to scrobble youtube videos in the music category as well as soundcloud and bandcamp songs.

Why do you want this feature?

Right now i use a separate app to scrobble, but if i set it to scrobble newpipe it records everything i watch and listen to.

I personally use listenbrainz, but i know both listenbrainz and libre.fm have last.fm compatible apis so it should only be necessary to support the last.fm api and allow users to shoose a url.

Uhm what is "scrobbling"/"scrobble"?

scrobbling is recording what music you listen to and sending it to a service that builds a profile of your listening habits and recommends new music. like what spotify does except without providing the music as well.

Thank you for the clarification. However it's unlikely that this will be implemented because it's likely a violation of our privacy policy.

@litetex From Privacy policy section on README:

Therefore, the app does not collect any data without your consent

If you turn on scrobbling and set a service (Listenbrainz, libre.fm or proprietary last.fm) you know what you are doing and consent to collect data

I'm also interested in this feature, as presently I am scrobbling with a non libre app, Pano Scrobbler, but would prefer it to be integrated into NewPipe.

I love NewPipe and use it daily!

My +1 to be able to sync at least playlists with externals services, and why not my listen history.

I mean, we need data to build 'system scrobbling/recommandation'. ListenBrainz is an effort to collect data.

(And I wish I will be able to share my cross-platforms playlists a day :crossed_fingers: )
