Definitely searching names of subscription list channels are just as a good feature although since each channel has as unique category such as education, blogs and more, after a while the subscription list grows quite a bit to recall a particular channel and instead one can simply recall them by using their category keyword.
For example, one can type in "News" shortlists and groups the similar channels.
I am not sure but tags too can help but might make it complex as they are labeled with less precision and might result in more jumbled shortlist.
Why do you want this feature?
It's usual to have cluttered subscription list and that becomes overwhelmingly complex to navigate through after a while. This feature can shortlist the channels quickly for a more simpler and easier viewing experience.
Additional information
This would be like a shortlisted more refined search that groups similar channels based on category they have. Just like a grocery store!
