Question regarding the hardware component. (Lens) #15

If we could get a specific term, or type or name of the lens, or some schematic or blueprint, we can further delve deep to find places to reproduce it.

  1. In the example images, is the glass lens made of acrylic?
  2. How does the projection work? And don't we feel strain trying to focus on something so close to our eyes? If these questions aren't appropriate from the repository's context, please redirect it to somewhere where the hardware can be discussed. Thankyou

We bought off the shelf free-form optics, as discussed in the build guide.

It's not focused close to your eye, it's focused 1/2 meters away.
