Always nice to have a new (working) Piped instance, but this one as all others except https://piped.privacydev.net/ does not handle live streams: For instance Sky News Live : https://piped.darkness.services/watch?v=w9uJg68CV4g Remains a pain in the neck. Issue has been reported here and no more than acknowledged. Nothing is done to bring the darn code to live streams reliability.

What can be done? How does the instance I mention handle them? I just don't know. I like good food but am a poor cooker, I like good applications but am a poor coder, in fact not a coder at all. The issue had been reported in October 2013, then refreshed lately by myself on https://github.com/TeamPiped/Piped/issues/3407

I just don't know. Maybe has the instance, the only instance to handle live streams, in my experience, kept old Piped code as their Preferences page could confirm? No idea, but for those who use Piped which manages so well videos, channels, play-lists ... and not live streams is a bother, for sure. I had emailed the admin of the instance I mention, hoping he'd let me know how he manages his Piped instance, but he never replied. As for here, the very GitHub home of Piped, explanations seem to rise but apparently are not applied. No idea if they ever will.

Prompt to mark comments, less to participate to answers. Good Lord ... Gets you to wonder with what some people think, if you can call that thinking. What is this place, totalitarian or plain nuts?!

I tested a live stream and it won't play but on invidious it just works

I have removed cloudflare from my instance and added a tor domain.

I'm not sure if you list .onion sites, but I thought I would include it.
