[Game Crash] Crashing on startup

Raspberry Pi 4 Twister OS 2.1.2 OutFox 5.3 Alpha 4.9.8

I navigate to the OutFox folder, and run ./stepmania Games crashes immediately on startup. consoleoutput.txt crashinfo.txt

Update: I've tried every version of OutFox, from 4.9.0 onwards. Starting from 4.9.5 and up, I get the above error. Below 4.9.5 down to 4.9.0 I get a different error, in a loop:

WARNING: ALSA: snd_pcm_wait: Broken pipe

The game might be trying to use ALSA but it is unavailable at the moment, resulting in the crash. Try changing the SoundDrivers parameter in Preferences.ini to Pulse

@SheepyChris there's no Preferences.ini file in the /.stepmania-5.3/Save folder, only OutFoxPrefs.ini I tried adding SoundDrivers=Pulse there, but no change.

Any suggestions what to try with 4.9.5 and up? It's giving these errors:

I see a fix is being released for 4.9.9, is twister one of the fixes?

This is because Twister requires the 32bit build (ARMv7) I'll dig out my pi400 later today and see what's making it crash, and will update.

I have run the latest 4.9.9HF3b on a freshly written Twister OS 2.1.2 - the game seems to run fine here

Just extracted it to my desktop to test.

Can you let me know where your installation is?

Closing as this was fixed in 4.9.9HF3, and we haven't heard back
