[Game Crash] Crash occurs every time a song is opened in the Editor #579

Describe the crash

I'm not quite sure why this crash is happening, but every time I try to open a song to edit in the Editor, the game pauses for a little bit and then instantly crashes. It doesn't matter what mode or what style the game is in, or what kind of chart you edit, or whether it's new or already existing: it just CRASHES. I have no certain idea WHY this might be happening, but I did see something weird consistently happen across ALL the crash info reports:

Sound "/Appearance/Themes/_fallback/Sounds/_missing.ogg" has a start time 0.000002 seconds in the past

Perhaps the crash could be related to a sound starting 2 microseconds in the past, but honestly, I don't really know if this is even the case. All I know is that it's baffling me and that it's preventing me from editing ANY songs in the Editor.

How can you reproduce the error?

  1. Start the game
  2. Go to Edit Charts
  3. Select the first menu option
  4. Pick a song. Any song.
  5. Choose to edit an already-existing chart OR make a new one. It doesn't matter what mode you use here.
  6. The game waits for a second and then suddenly crashes. (I know this sounds generic, and I don't know whether this has to do with a sound playing in the past or not, but this is how I got the game to crash every time after I updated to the hotfix.)

I have found that in most cases, I can load a song for the first time, but if I "revert from disk" once or twice it crashes. The examples where I have had this happen are songs which have only .sm files to read.
