button combination to reset not working with USB gamepad #255

Describe the bug
The SELECT + DOWN button combination to reset the console (i.e. exit from the game and bring the console to the menu) does not work with a USB gamepad connected via OTG.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior: With the system turned off:

  1. remove any controllers from the front doors
  2. connect the USB gamepad via OTG adapter
  3. turn the system on
  4. load a game
  5. press the reset buttom combination (SELECT + DOWN by default)
  6. see that nothing happens

Expected behavior
By pressing the reset buttom combination, it is to be expected that the game closes and the menu is brought up

Additional context
hakchi2 CE version 3.6.0 zip release tested only with a xbox 360 wireless controller+USB dongle the controller works great otherwise the reset buttom combination works normally on a stock SNESC controller (connected on a frontal door) tested only on a SNES Classic

Did you ever get this resolved? It’s my understanding down select only works from clover on front ports

the reset combination only works with the ports on the system, if you're using a controller that has a home button though it will work as a reset button.

is there any way we can get this implemented to work for for USB controllers? some don't have home buttons - it'd be really useful to have the shortcut work in those use cases
