Adopted storage not detected - Moto Z (XT1650-03 - griffin)

Hello,

My config :

• Moto Z (XT1650-03 - griffin) with stock 7.0 (retus)
• Bootloader unlocked
• Rooted : superuser-r259
• Recovery : TWRP-3.1.1-0
• SD card (roughly 200 GB) formatted as adopted storage

The problem : TWRP doesn't seem to detect my adopted SD card.

Additionnal info :

• The little UI log shows nothing special
• In the "backup" screen, the "select storage" screen has 3 choices : "Internal storage (45983MB)", "Micro SDCard (0MB)" and "USB OTG (0MB)".
• In TWRP file manager, /external_sd is empty
• In TWRP file manager, /sdcard and /data/media/0 got the same contents. However, it's not the contents of the adopted SD card, that usually populates those folders. Instead lies a /sdcard/TWRP folder created by TWRP, along with a /sdcard/TWRP/.twrps file.
• Creating backups works just fine, backups go in /sdard/TWRP/BACKUPS/ZY223HTG8M as usual. Restoring them works fine too.
• When TWRP is launched, connecting the phone to the computer enables MTP access of the contents of /sdcard, including backup files mentioned above.
• However when booting into system, /sdcard/TWRP is empty.
• My hypothesis : TWRP doesn't recognize adopted storage, so it writes actually on the phone's memory in /sdcard and /data/media/0, but when the phone boots up and recognizes the adopted storage, it bind mounts this storage (on /sdcard and /data/media/0, rendering the TWRP folder invisible.

I am facing exactly the same issue on my phone. I went through your recovery.log and it seems that since 3.1.1, the adoptable storage mounting code has changed very significantly (almost a completely different codepath)... I know because I walked through the code and logs of both your and my case. Please try with the latest version (3.2.1).

BTW: I found why I'm facing the issue, I'll post an issue soon, but JFYI it's a bug with my device.
