I am also having the same issue.

lisandrocarmona commented 10 years ago

Me too. Backups are just disappearing with TWRP. When I'm using Online Nandroid Backup, it finishes ok, but only with few kbytes, although the log shows everything was backed-up. PhilZ recovery works fine.

miloytyn commented 10 years ago

Backups look ok even after rebooting to recovery, but immediately after booting to system they disappear.

I'm having the same issue with TWRP 2.8.x.x. Please help us!

On v2.8.1.0 seems that with AOSP roms installed (CM11 for me) the disappearing of the backup is less frequent (let's say more stable). So the fixes introduced has for sure solved partially the issue, but still present. Any relation beetween AOSP rom and TWRP? I manage some testing and I only lost the last backup just after an installation of the updated CM11 nightly and after a "Wipe cache/dalvik" + "Reboot system". In any other tests I've done, nothing strange has happened... so to be on safe side I came back to v2.7.1.0... I hope these info can help on troubleshooting. Thanks for your great work!!

On Touchwiz based ROMs the disappearing happens every time. Additionally, I read that this same thing is happening at least with Galaxy Tab S.

Question for dev: is the exfat module on omni kernel builded internal or is external?

b0unty1 commented 9 years ago

I'm on Samsung galaxy S3 international (I9300) and i have the same issue with twrp 2.8.x.x i reported the problem on XDA thread but new updates always come w/o any fix lot's of people revert to 2.7.1.0 please can you consider this problem with a higher pripority ? thx in advance

smeroni68 commented 9 years ago

If the issue on exFAT is present on several devices, it is a general issue... so I can assume it has an higher priority than a local one... Let's hope for a permanent fix from the team. Thanks devs!
