TWRP 3.0.2-2 not decrypting Xiaomi Note3 Pro (kenzo) #803

I've been eagerly awaiting encryption support in TWRP, but when presented by the encryption passphrase prompt by TWRP, it fails to decrypt. I'm on CM14.1 official nightlies. (I'm able to use in the Android's built-in mechanism at boot, to decrypt the volume and proceed to use my phone.)

The passphrase begins with spaces, if this helps. I haven't had any issues with TWRP on other devices, with previous versions of CM <=13, using this same passphrase. So TWRP has been able to handle it in the past.

Any suggestions?

Edit: the error is "Password failed, please try again!" I also attempted to use 'default_password' which someone else referred to in a separate bug report. It does not work either.

3.0.2-X by BY~XM (20160917) works!

I also had the same problem, so I used that ZCX TWRP for a solution.

But now with official TWRP 3.1.0-0 it is working.
