I have just fixed this problem right now by adopting some steps from this reply.
1- Download Marshmallow G8 stock ROM.
2- Download Huawei update extractor from here.
3- Extract recovery.img
using the previous tool from the stock ROM Update.app
file.
4- Go to the bootloader, then flash the extracted recovery.img
into recovery.
5- Reboot by the command fastboot reboot
.
6- You will get the default loading screen saying the device is reset, then you will be directed to the system welcome screen.
7- You can flash TWRP again, then superSU.
Hi @DAbidou . If i follow all your steps. Then is this problem will be solved permanently? I'm also facing the same problem of @Harry5001 And i used Harry's method and solve rebooting issue. But I'm now wanting to use twrp again but without rebooting issue. So, can you sure that your method/trick is able to install twrp and without rebooting in recovery issue?
Hi Munna-vai,
last year I found a version of the TWRP that seems to be modified especially for the Huawei G8. I think I downloaded it from the links contained in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67179568&postcount=56
That worked fine for me. Hope this helps.
Harry
@Harry5001 First i would like to thank you for your first trick (flashing stock recovery.img Idea). That save me. Second i want to thank you again for replying and helping me again in instantly. Third i also hope that it will be work for me too. Though i haven't tried it yet. Thanks a lot for all of these. It will not be possible without your help. May allah bless you and your family.
@Harry5001 Brother... I've tried twrp from xda by the link you gave me. It's also working fine for me. Thanks a lot again brother...
Hi Munna-vai,
glad, that I could help.
Hello,
after flashing TWRP 3.0.2 on a Huawei G8 with Android 6.0.1 I get a bootloop as soon as I boot to recovery ones. It does not matter how I try to reboot from TWRP (from TWRP menu or power button). The G8 always reboots to recovery. Even when I select "power off" it reboots to TWRP. Only when I select "Bootloader" from the TWRP Menu it boots to fastboot. I can fix this when I re-flash the stock recovery. After that it automatically boots to that stock recovery where I must select "Reboot System now". After that the bootloop is fixed and it reboots to system. I can then re-flash TWRP again without bootloop, but as soon as I boot to TWRP with POWER & VOL+ I get into the same bootloop again.
I tested this with TWRP 3.0.2 and also with an older version TWRP 2.8.6. The problem occurs in both versions.
This issue occurs with Android 6.0.1 on the device HUAWEI G8 (HUAWEI RIO-R01) (Build-Number RIO-L01C432B340). I have another device of this type (also HUAWEI G8 RIO-R01) with Android 5.1 Build-Number R01-L01C432B150). On that device this problem only occurs when I reboot to recovery from the TWRP App. When I select reboot from TWRP instead, everything is fine and it boots to system again.
Does anybody have a solution for this or can forward it to fix this issue in a later version of TWRP?
Thanks.
Harry
