Galaxy Tab Pro T-325: TWRP versions above 2.7.1.0 don't support USB mice (no workaround for non-functional digitizers)

Device codename: mondrianlte TWRP version: 3.7.0_9-0

WHAT STEPS WILL REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM?

1. Install TWRP newer than 2.7.1.0, up to the latest 3.7.0

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED RESULT?

2.7.1.0 and older: mouse cursor appears, mouse can interact with TWRP

WHAT HAPPENS INSTEAD?

No cursor appears, moving the mouse and clicking randomly has no effect.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Tested on several versions. My mondrianlte has a broken digitizer, therefore I can't use TWRP without an external mouse. Issue not present on bullhead (3.2.1 4-core-modded TWRP). The issue is most likely specific to the Galaxy Tab Pro.
