[Question] Will encrytion support for Android 12 be available for other TWRP branches in the future?

Device codename: FP3 TWRP version: 3.7.0_9-0

I understand that encryption support is available for devices in TWRP 12 branch, not for devices in earlier branches. The system of my phone in the TWRP 9 branch meanwhile is updated to Android 12. Will encryption support for this branch be available in the future or is this not possible technically?

This can access Android-12 encryption:

_twrp-3.7.0_12-0k4y0z-20230821-01-fp3.img -> I hope it gets merged upstream soon.

Although you might only use this test build via fastboot boot twrp-3.7.0_12-0_k4y0z-20230821-01-fp3.img. Because some people had issues when permanently flashing it.
