[twrp-3.2.3-0-tulip][BUG] Huge Light Bleeding At The Bottom Of The Screen

The Official TWRP for tulip has a huge issue of light bleeding at the bottom of the screen that can permanently damage it with burn in. TWRP doesn't match the screen size when in the Home (TWRP Main Menu). The Bug approximately 0.5 cm below the navigation buttons without UI and bleeding bright light (see picture link), https://i.imgur.com/Lc4oQWa.jpg Already tested with 3 different Redmi Note 6 Pro (Global), Models M1806E7TH and M1806E7TG, running Beta Nightly 9.3.11 (Android Pie) with same result. Please fix it ASAP. Let me know if you need another inputs.

What do you mean by light bleeding? That sounds like a hardware issue.

What I mean HUGE light bleeding? Please look at the picture (link) => https://i.imgur.com/Lc4oQWa.jpg Hardware issue was the first thing I thought. That's why I tested it on two other Redmi Note 6 Pro with different model M1806E7TG as mentioned before. Three devices with same hardware issue I don't think so. It's more possible to be some wrong / incompatible parameter for this device from Official TWRP side. The Bug only happens in Home Screen (TWRP) all other sub menus seem to be match fine on screen size.

Note: As another technical proof that it isn't a hardware defective I recovered the Mi Stock Recovery and there is no light bleed either. The Bug only happens with the Official TWRP version. => https://i.imgur.com/dtvjcPA.jpg

I have this issue too, and I also have half of my touchscreen unusable only when in TWRP

I don't intend to push you but we're almost a month without a functional TWRP on Redmi Note 6 Pro. Please let we know if you need to test any update that can handle the Light Bleeding Bug and/or Decryption. I'm running now Xiaomi Developer ROM (Beta Nightly 9.4.12):

Awesome and beyond my expectations! That's the best TWRP version for Redmi Note 6 Pro. Running smoothly without Light Bleeding and handling Stock MIUI Decryption (Data).

EDIT : no problem flashing it using ADB. Booting it then flashing Magisk = no problem...

The latest pre-release version, twrp-3.3.0-0-tulip.img, CAN'T DECRYPT Stock MIUI (Data) => https://i.imgur.com/iEIivE3.jpg please fix it before official update. Then I roll back for the previous version, twrp-3.3.0-tulip.img, from yesterday and can CONFIRM that still Decrypting Stock MIUI (Data) => https://i.imgur.com/ScQW79i.jpg Both files has Touch/Light Bleeding fixed. I already tested Cam2API and can CONFIRM that was possible to enable it with the yesterday version, twrp-3.3.0-tulip.img

I had downloaded the second file from same link but didn't decrypted the stock MIUI. Now downloaded from your new link, twrp-3.3.0-0-tuliptest3.img, and tested but still didn't decrypting.

I have all versions of the Official TWRP archived. => https://i.imgur.com/D8uI7fi.jpg I did all the tests again with the latest versions 3.3.0 and NONE is DECRYPTING the Stock MIUI. Even the twrp-3.3.0-tulip.img version from yesterday has stopped working. => https://i.imgur.com/nkvBR6A.jpg The only change that happen on my device was the update today to MIUI Beta 9.4.15 Nightly:

Today mt RN6 was OTA regular updated to Beta 9.4.18 then I tested again the first (only) version that could handle decryption, twrp-3.3.0-tulip.img, and then last twrp-3.3.0-1-tulip-by-mauronofrio.img Unfortunately both couldn't decrypt current MIUI10 Beta 9.4.18

A friend with Redmi Note 6 Pro (M1806E7TG) told me that also have successfully installed the first Official TWRP 3.3.0-0 version (Decryption was Okay). After upgraded to 9.4.15 also failed to Decrypt. My conclusion is that Xiaomi did change the default password (kernel) for our devices after Developer ROM 9.4.15 Beta. Please fix the default password in next Official TRWP pre-release version.

Note: Previous 3.3.0-X versions fit better on top screen, now clock is behind the notch.

Non-Official TWRP for Redmi Note 6 Pro seems workaround to DECRYPT MIUI dafault Internal Data.

@Birraque that is a twrp made from closed source. Vold decryption will bypass all encryption and it is not safe. I can't made a twrp from that source

I'm running Xiaomi stock Developer ROM, Mi-Recovery 3.0 Never installed any other TWRP version excepted your Beta Oficial. Let me know if you need another inputs.
