I get disconnected from the server when I am in render distance and it it is daytime. This is the main chunk of the error. The full log is linked - error starts around line 31618

this error shows nothing. are you on a server? if so give me the server log

Towsty commented 7 years ago

I copied the wrong part, this is the team wizardry named section. I'll check the server log, I didn't see anything at first glance in it.

This is the server log from when I tried to log in. There does not appear to be anything helpful here - but basically it spams those broken pipe errors when I attempted to login - around line 41992 - a snippet is below. I attached the log.

@yrsegal liblib issue it seems

yrsegal commented 7 years ago

I no longer have any stake in ser/deser, code rewrote it entirely. rather inconvenient >.>

Towsty commented 7 years ago

Should I repost this over on Liblib then?

Eladkay commented 7 years ago

@yrsegal I guess it's karma

yrsegal commented 7 years ago

yeah but when I rewrote it I didn't change the underlying logic, just the way it found things

Towsty commented 7 years ago

So I'm going to go ahead and close this - it seems that this only happens on my laptop. I've tested it on a couple other systems now and it works fine.

yrsegal commented 7 years ago

... an edge case is not a case that doesn't need to be fixed

Towsty commented 7 years ago

Couple of 'updates' on this. So it does happen from time to time on other systems i've tried but it is not consistent. Just today though it happened when I put a pickaxe into the Laser Assembly Table accidentally. Exact same console info and d/c message. And then again when I removed the pickaxe. Not sure if this helps at all

WallyOxen commented 7 years ago

I'm having this same issue on my server running Illumination 0.6.6. However another player can stay in game fine as I crash. When the laser assembly table is not under the laser I am able to join the game. As soon as it gets placed under the laser I crash with a fatal error as seen above. I'm not sure if this is helping or muddying the waters but in hopes of the former the other players log is the following when the table is placed under the laser and the spam stops when the table is removed. http://pastebin.com/sSWW1yeU

SaadArdati commented 7 years ago

I wonder if this is caused by long item string names

WallyOxen commented 7 years ago

I am able to replicate it if more logs would help? I just don't know enough about what's happening to help without guidance but am willing to do whatever testing I can.
