StrongLoop is a node process manager that is an alternative to PM2, the expressjs web page on deployment best practices mentions that it has tight integrations for a development-deployment cycle, so it should be investigated.

Here is a page comparing StrongLoop with PM2. It is from the people who produce StrongLoop so it isn't unbiased, but it may be useful.
