This is normal on Windows. I don't know a way of bypassing this either.
PS. Thank you for NOT being nasty about criticism unlike another author I won't name. Well actually two authors.
I have given up on this sadly. I hope someday a fix is released though I think what likely happened is one of the big MS updates messed some coding up as they tend to do. Did you know MS is technically 'Nokia' they bought up the failed Nokia phone company in a leverage buyout. MS fired a lot of their own PC people during the transition from Windows 7 to 8 and replaced their team with a bunch of former Nokia employees.
Much like the failing Sears buying up the failing Kmart and both went under. The only thing saving MS's butt is they have a special contract with the US Government with IE.
Don't worry, this is a default act from PyInstaller, not an issue on Windows itself.
are you going to fix it
Now THAT is the 1 million silver rupee question!

I can try fixing it, but I can't guarantee anything.

Thanks! That's better then nothing even if you can't fix it maybe you can find the cause of the problem? Thanks for proving me wrong about all devs being a-holes. Most instead of replying like you did would give a snarky response and likely block you from posting further instead of giving the other person a fair chance to defend themselves and come 'clean' or so to speak.
I really don't get this. Why are you still creating something that doesn't even work when clicking on the EXE? Who would use something that doesn't run or am I missing something here? 🤐 I think instead of making/playing with broken emulators we should all become our own social warriors (minus the breaking windows and burning buildings down part) to bring basic humane rights since we are failing to do that. It's sad a lot of emulation is broken but I don't think that will improve till we improve ourselves.
PCEM being a fine example which the emulator itself is actually great (rare for an emulator to not be full of surprises) but the author(s) are short a few nails and were using a blunt hammer to do the job. Hence it didn't work out as I predicted before the incident happened which I still don't know what inspired as they REFUSE to tell us.
Well, I'm not responsible for the emulator itself, only for this GUI here. Sorry.

It probably has to do with python itself
This thread explains why the console window opens: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1689015/run-python-script-without-windows-console-appearing
Does anyone know why I get blocked anytime I mention what happened with PCEM? I'm curious to it's future and It seems to be a heavily censored topic so instead of being a jerk blocking me like all the others do how about inform me so I won't be part of the 'Ummmmmm' crowd if you know what I mean. It's not cool being part of that.
What's the big deal with that?
Idk why GitHub would block the PCem issues, just DM me on Discord (Username is lucien_rowan) or write an e-mail to nicolas62974@gmail.com and we can talk about what happened, okay?
Thanks. Honestly just curious as to what happened as it seems to be a big conspiracy of some sorts. It seems Joeys' economy has hurt the emulation scene as in the last 2 years it's mostly minor bumps. I go to Mr Sunbro.....oops I meant Mr Sujano as the Reddit's Emulation thread is pretty much dead often going a week between a single post so it's no longer an option for me.

@Tech-FZ bro you still haven't fixed this issue
Sorry for that. I can try some experiments with the next pre-release, but I can't guarantee anything.
maybe you can use pythonw instead of python to launch the app
maybe you can use pythonw instead of python to launch the app
I might give that a try.
you can use the --noconsole flag with pyinstaller when building the project to remove cmd window
I might try this. Thanks, thewanderingtraderm.
Have you tried?
Not yet, I plan to experiment on EmuGUI 2.1, but it will take a while before I can actually start working on it, especially because I'm currently experiencing some hardware issues as well. I will tell you about any progress I make here, okay?
when i open emugui, a command prompt window appears
