I don't really mind if this is something you make up yourself or get as an asset, whatever ends up being the nicest and easiest to work with, in terms of animations and etc.
If you're getting an asset - be sure to also get animations for common actions such as walking, jumping, getting hit, punching (melee attacks), and etc.
