This is mostly a discussion post.

I am interested in working on a mod that replaces power gen with something akin to industrialCraft2’s fission reactors (things like reactor-incremental, reactor-idle, etc.)

I’m also really interested in fusion power and balancing industrial payoff with design complexity. This mod seems like it would be a good base to develop those mechanics. Do you have a scope/goals in mind for this mod?

At the moment, that was not my plan, I planned on fusion of elements together to create heavier elements, going through the stages of lead -> thorium.

Now that you have brought this to mind, this could be a viable idea, and I will look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!
