The cart failed to be placed into the world #77

TheElectricCake commented 7 years ago

In creative mode, put down an assembler with a creative module on it. Built a cart using standard hull, hardened drill, coal engine, large railer, bridge builder, height controller, liquid sensors, side chest, top chest, internal storage (x2).

The assembler produced the cart but I was unable to place it on track. When I tried I saw the message: "The cart failed to be placed into the world, this is due to an issue with one or more modules. Please post your log on the issue tracker here: https://github.com/modmuss50/SC2/issues"

Please note that I was running this test in creative single-player mode because on a multiplayer survival server the same cart did not build at all...The assembler took its time eating a bunch of coal, then acted like the cart was finished but produced no cart at all. Waste of components.

After further research, I can build the cart with EITHER the bridge builder OR the height controller, but not both. If I try to put both in, it will not allow the cart to be placed.

I can confirm this. I put both the bridge builder and height controller in the hull (miner) and I can not place it in the world. using the mod on a server. I went to creative (im the admin) and got the same results. rebuilt the hull with only each module and it worked fine. I have the Reinforced hull, coal engine, hardened drill, railer, torch placer, bridge builder, internal storage, top chest, liquid sensors, height controller chunk loader, ore extractor. all worked in the previous version of MC and SC2. no longer in 1.10.2

Hope this is what you're looking for. its straight from the console. I tried to look in the logs and found nothing dealing with this error. Not a server guru, but if you have an idea, Im all ear :) thank you for your time

Either before or after that you should see something that looks a bit like a crash report.

I dont have a PC for 10-15 days so I wont be able to look into it anyway.

carcher7878 commented 6 years ago

Thats fine, there are other means within the game. Just a fan of SC2. I looked in my log (latest) for the day and it doesnt even show the broken cart info. I havent crashed the server yet so I have no crash logs. I looked through all folders on the server within todays date (file modified) and have nothing recorded other than what I pulled off the console which is above. Thats all the information I can find on it. When placed in the world the message comes across with: The cart failed to be placed into the world, this is due to an issue with one or more modules. Please post your log on the issue tracker here (github). But like I said, when I go to logs, theres nothing in the log with broken cart info. If I find something later I'll repost it here. As far as the 10-15 days, lol its your baby man, take your time.

The mining cart seems to work on other packs. Looks like its all the mods pack. I've notified the pack creator. Thank you again for your time

It looks like it is an issue with FoamFix , I was getting the same error, then I disabled the FoamFix and it just worked.

As a temp fix disabled FoamFix and it should work, at least on SinglePlayer, but it would be great if this compatibility issue could be fixed since FoamFix really does a great job on game.

modmuss50 commented 6 years ago

A foam fix update was pushed a while back. Please update it.
