Player Info: Improvements

• This plugin has an issue if you have it displayed when you level from 99 to 100 -> the 100 is displayed over 2 lines and the plugin has to be unloaded and loaded again for the 100 to be displayed in a single line
• On what values are the capped mitigations based upon? Are these hard-coded values that have to be changed every time they increase?
• Shorten the values in the tooltip: short number would be more legible and improve the overall tooltip e.g. 45,4k instead of 45449
• Order of the different stat groups: shouldn't the stat groups be more logically grouped? The tooltip copies the character stats list, which should mean from left to right in the tooltip: Offence - Healing - Defence - Mitigations
• The stats in the groups aren't properly aligned: aligning them left next to each groups heading would improve the overall design
• Displaying Morale/Power/Amour not in a single line at the top, but rather as as separate group could also improve the layout: displaying them next to the base state like might etc. similar like in the character stats
• The character info group with race, level etc. has a bug with the latest version: my current exp is displayed as (1.#J%)
• The exp display could be given another meaning: for the overall exp needed for the next level there already is the display of "Next lvl at" so the exp display could be reworked as: Number(percentage) = remaining exp needed until level(current percentage of exp gained)
• The info about colours for capped mitigations aren't aligned properly and look somewhat out of place at their current position

• percentage calculations and capped numbers are based on this lotro-wiki page
• i see that the numbers got a lot higher compared to past, but i am still not sure how this change would improve something, from my point of view you shortened the string by less than one character and lost 2 characters of information i personally like seeing there full numbers, can add , to improve readability
• can rearrange into Offence - Defence - Rest (Mitigations + Healing) by the way, the stats are not in same order as in character stat list, some of them are there showed only in tooltip, for example there is no category Healing, outgoing healing is calculated from tactical offence and incoming is listed as defence stat, so far the stats are shown more or less as the original plugin author devided them
• sorry don't understand what you mean by not properly aligned, can you please explain what is not aligned and where?
• experience bug: (edited) think i found this one too, in PlayerInfosToolTip.lua on 21 there is same value for level 114 and 113, should be [114]="98,082,610"
• interesting idea, but i think mixing remaining and current experience as you propose would lead to confusion my alternative: Next lvl at experience needed for next level(current percentage) or remaining experience needed(remaining percentage)
• i think they were supposed to be aligned both to the center (of the window), do you suggest different alignment?

3. By shortening a number you indeed lose some degree of precision, but I prefer a number like 123456 to be displayed as 123k or 123,4k to improve readability. A single , is a first step. I don't know how much effort it would be to implement a toggle to shorten a number to a specified precision that the player can toggle on/off.
4. My point was less about how those groups are named and more about their logical position in the tooltip in regards to their order in the character sheet. For me the first thing I'm interested in would be my damage and healing stats, and mitigations and defensive stats towards the end.
5. Indeed, I wasn't specific enough. The stats themselves aren't aligned properly to a designated point and just look messy.
6. Matter of personal taste what format you like more. I got used to the exp needed for next level(current percentage). But I guess getting rid of one those 2 exp displays and making the remaining one clear is the best way.
7. The alignment of the caps is aimed towards aligning them both the same way like you did with the values in the player info. And you might even simplify them: Values are CAPPED written in yellow and Values are CAPPED for T2 written in orange

As said, i got what you mean that the numbers got high, but i personally do like see precise number, the idea is that while in char window you see that too, the percentage there counts bonuses that titanbar dont, so you can see your raw percentages which is better to know how close you are to cap, therefore i like seeing there precise number there. would this be better?

Wow, that looks so much better with the stats aligned to the left and with , to make the numbers more readable. Is it intended that the partial defence stats have a space in front of them?

yes that is intended, its like Block, and partial block under it etc. what do you mean by stats aligned? as i said i dont get what you ment by that in first place, i always saw it like in my image, can you maybe post image showing them not aligned?

Ah ok, makes sense to keep the partial stats slightly different formatted. Just look at the screenshot in my earlier post for the alignment issue. It might be that the tooltip has some trouble with positioning as I'm playing in windowed fullscreen.

oh took me sec till i realized, you use different setting, if you right click titanbar (on free space) there is more options -> alternative stats checkbox, it shows stats centered (lookes weird to me but it was already a feature)

Oh there was such a setting? Must've messed with it and forgot that setting. With that in mind: the alternate version with the stats all over the place doesn't make much sense.
