Given a password with the character § in it, the user with said password cannot reauthenticate because the password field does not accept that character.

WIll get fixed in the next Version together with some other improvements. Sorry for the inconvenience for the time being

Fixed in 3.6.0 (availble for 1.12 shortly - other versions will follow soon)
