[Feature Request] Ability to save the cache to disk in a specified interval #708

The option to save cache to disk and reload on next PC start is great, but what if a power loss happen?

An option to save the cache to the disk in a specified interval, let's say, on every 20 minutes, would be good for systems running for a long long time and and without guarantee that electricity will not be interrupted.

Thanks for the feature request. Power failure is a critical issue that should be avoided if possible with UPS. This is since power failure will cause files to get corrupt eventually which may affect the entire system or some of the applications. If the DNS server crashes due to file corruption, it will take down Internet for entire network. So having such a feature is of not much use due to the potential issues it may cause IMO.
