What You'll Do

The platform engineering team is the backbone of HomeX’s technology initiative to revolutionize home services industry. We are on a path for astronomical growth, making this a great place for ambitious people who want to grow quickly with us.

We’re looking for a multi-faceted, detail-oriented, Backend Developer to join our team in Toronto, CA. You will take ideas from the whiteboard to launch and should be comfortable owning everything from domain modeling and technical research to automated testing and coding. You’ll be building and contributing to .NET Core microservices, working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, unit and integration testing frameworks, Kafka, ElasticSearch, GraphQL and other technologies. You will be working with a crazy talented and driven team to shake up an industry.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Proficiency with .Net Core C#
• Good knowledge of API design and development, primarily REST and/or GraphQL.
• Experience working with RDBMS (SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Strong understanding and experience in unit and integration testing.

Must Have

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in developing and maintaining server-side applications
• Must be authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Understanding of design principles like DDD, TDD, SOLID, Design Patterns.
• Experience using IaaS and PaaS services with AWS.
• Experience developing and maintaining microservices.
• Experience with Docker, Kafka, API Gateway and/or Kong Gateway.
