What You'll Do (Job Description)

This role will build and support the maintenance of a new consumer platform that shares content about cannabis for curious and beginner users. Developer will work closely with the UXUI designer and must be proficient and experienced with developing custom WP sites.

What You Need to Be Successful (Skills)

Must Have

• 3+ years working as a NodeJS developer
• 2+ years working with mongodb; express
• Proficient with WordPress, with 3+ years of experience developing custom WP sites
• Advanced expertise with PHP and MySQL
• Deep understanding of HTML and CSS
• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience with React or similar JS libraries or frameworks
• Experience with responsive web development
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with version control tools, such as Git and SVN.
• Portfolio of work products that function well on multiple device types

Nice to Have

• bootcamp graduate or undergraduate degree preferred
• Background in User Experience and User Interface design
• Experience with Python and Django
• Experience with responsive web design, integration and usability testing
• Experience with high-volume websites and/ or journalistic websites
• Comfort with Adobe Creative Cloud

Relevant Experiences

• Support back-end and front-end web development for a website built on WordPress
• Work collaboratively and closely with UXUI Designer and founder
• Effectively manage priorities
• Adapt to changing requirements
