What You'll Do (Job Description)
We are seeking for a mission driven technical professional who wants to join an early stage impact start-up and use his/her technical skills to profoundly improve peoples’ daily levels of wellbeing and productivity. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who believes in using data and technology for the greater good of humanity and that has a deep interest in any aspects relating to better understanding human beings such as psychology, behavioural science, social science & humanities, neuroscience, well-being and spirituality. You will be part of the founding team working remotely in concert with our 2 co-founders and an outsources tech team which we have been successfully working with for the last year. We need a senior NodeJS developer that....
• Work closely with the co-founders to define the technical architecture and roadmap to take the product from alpha to growth phases. • Lead the successful delivery of the various technology stages. • Build an agile, high-functioning development team, including assessment of resourcing requirements, hiring resources or contracting partners as appropriate. • Ensuring all technology practices adhere the company’s values, purpose, quality and ethical standards. • Staying on top of the latest technology trends and developments and educating the team on the most salient opportunities. • Outline the goals and priorities for research and development. • Work in partnership with external scientific and academic researchers to facilitated the delivery of valuable research projects focused on human empowerment. • Work with the other co-founders to secure funding through developing pitch material and presenting to investors.
What You Need to Be Successful (Skills)
• Experience in start-up technology launch: taking an idea and turning it into a live product in cost-effective and structured manner Experience in building a development function, including hiring, setting up practices, leading delivery. • Strong ability to work from ideas and high-level specification sketches and design appropriate, light-weight but robust and flexible solutions. • Demonstrated understanding and experience in designing AI/ML systems • Ability to work with non-technical partners • Effectively coordinate work with an outsourced team and create a strong collaborative partnership. • Be a partner in promoting the values, and proposition of the company internally and to the wider community. • Indisputably shares our company values (stated below) and will ensure to do everything possible to translate these into the product and services we will develop together • Future-looking, resourceful, dedicated, collaborative, transparent, trustworthy, humble and with a deep desire to learn and serve humanity. • Happy and able to effectively work remotely and within an office.
