Let's use this issue as a place to post comments about future directions for our analytics capabilities and links to existing resources. Thanks @wwalk3 for spearheading this planning!

Guiding questions:

• Given funding and a year or two of worktime, what capabilities could be added to codeNforce's analytics subsystem to aid municipalities in making strategic use--rather than just administrative use--of our system to promote robust, equitable, and community-health-oriented decision making?
• What underlying values should be driving our analytics platform?
• How could codeNforce nudge municipal clients who may have a narrow, penalty-oriented approach to code enforcement to approach their program with broader community and human-centered values included?
• What pitfalls (i.e. unintended consequences) exist in the use of the analytics components which our tool can help avoid? E.g. How can the rental registry not become a tool for maliciously inclined officers to level so-called disorderly conduct charges against tenants they don't like?

My thinking in seeking out resources was to get as close to the ground as possible, and understand housing issues and how they effect communities, municipalities, and regions. Given those issues, I wanted to think about where the gaps are between the abilities of municipalities, and the needs of people/residents, and what our tool may be able to do in filling those gaps.
