What is "chinese account" and how is it different from a regular one?
AWS started a new region recently in china, cn-north-1. That region use different accounts, have different endpoints and some differences in the apis. The cli works in it though.
I've looked at ice sources, I don't think it will be working in its current state.
You can try adding cn-north-1 region the same way eu-central-1 was added: 3711e3d5739dd4324573a8f42bbc2e3803a4357f 422c34d5f602452acd07599db5fba643217b1b80
Let me know if it worked for you.
It doesn't work. I think ice isn't able to download the billing file in s3 for multiple reasons:
I'm going to try, for now, to implement a dirty solution where i will try to sync the chinese bucket to a normal european one, change the names, and make ice analyse the copy.
I will look at this issue since I have a similar need.
@k0rb0 have you resovled this issue?
hello no I didn't, the changes required to support chineses usage reports are too extensive for my skills/time. We now use in our company a SaaS based on a fork of ice that supports chinese usages. It's called teevity, I don't think they made their addition to ice publicly available (which is too bad).
any update for this?
does this tool support the aws cn-north-1 region now?
Hello. Nobody has made a PR for it yet. And we haven't pushed this from our SaaS version to the OSS version.
@nfonrose I think I am facing a similar issue with my AWS Account. My account is registered with Amazon AWS India and files have AISPL
in the end.

Because of this files are getting ignored. Any idea how can I solve this issue?
Hi we have some chinese accounts in my company.
Is there is a way to monitor it with ice?
