I find that clusters with more cells tends to have more ligand-receptor interactions with other clusters. I think the more the cells are, the more the ligand and receptor expression will be detected. Does this make sense ? It this is the case, how to eliminate the cell number effects ? And, is the interactions identified by cellphonedb a quantitative indicator or a qualitative indicators ? Can I compare the interaction numbers between two conditions (such as the interaction numbers between cluster A and cluster B under healthy and disease samples, similar to differential gene expression identification)?
