Does the MTProxy send the client's IP address to Telegram servers? #504

I would like to know about the safety of this proxy. Did the MTProxy send the client's IP address to Telegram servers? I can see the client_ips global variable in the code, but I can't determine exactly how this variable is used. If the client address is sent to Telegram servers, why?
