Clear Cache under Storage Usage not working

Description

Clear Entire Cache (or individual chosen sections, it doesn't matter) does not function anymore.

Expected Behavior

The current storage usage size should reset back to 0

Actual Behavior

If you run it, it claims to have freed X amount of storage, but nothing changes on the screen, and the exact same cache amount is stated as before running it.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to >Settings
Go to >Data and Storage
Go to >Storage Usage
Tap on >Clear Entire Cache

Environment

Device: iPhone 16 Pro Max (also tested on iPhone SE 2020 and iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen)

iOS version: iOS 18.0.1 (and iOS 17.7 and iPadOS 17.7)

App version: 11.2, 11.2.1

The same problem is true for iPhone 14 Pro Max + iOS 18.0.1.

Still an issue on the latest Telegram app update (11.2.1) released on October 17, 2024
