Description

https://bugs.telegram.org/c/1029 When I call from iPad or receive call, video from iPad sends to another person upside down. But on iPad video shows from iPad's camera correct.

Expected Behavior

Video from iPad shows correct in another person

Actual Behavior

Video from iPad shows upside down in another person

Steps to Reproduce

Call someone from iPad and both enable video.
Another person see video from you upside down.

Bug only with front camera. Rear camera shows video correct.

I have a new iPad Pro 2nd generation with exactly the same issue. The front facing camera sends video on Telegram upside down. If I use FaceTime it is fine, so it is a Telegram bug.

Workaround: Rotate the iPad to portrait mode and then back to landscape mode

Its worked for me, but its not solve this bug :-)

That's bug of iPadOS (maybe), found same bug in Viber, when I try to create photo, picture from camera in portrait upside down o_O. And this bug also fixes by rotating from album to portrait and vice versa.

The same issue is there till now. Even on iPadOS 15 beta. I have iPad Pro 3rd gen.

I experience the same issue with an iPad Air 4th gen, iPad OS 15.0, Telegram version 8.1.1.

The workaround of turning orientation and back does not adjust the preview of myself, and only erratically adjusts the video output on my call partner's screen.
