Connect to MTProto proxy via domain name stalled #63

Steps to reproduce

Setup your own domain to point to a address with mtproxy installed server Add mtproto proxy using this domain name + secret Try connecting

Expected behaviour

Connected via mtproto proxy

Actual behaviour

We see "connecting" about 10 seconds and then become available with xxx ms. Though replacement the domain name with its ip address directly works properly. Tried with many domains to MTP proxies, and got the same result.

Configuration

iOS 12.3.1 with Telegram 5.7 from App Store/TestFlight

I have met exactly the same problem. It would keep connecting for a while and significantly slower when using domain instead of ip as proxy address. Besides, I found it only happens on my ios device. Windows Desktop version and android version telegram works fine with domain name as proxy address. Have you solved it?

This problem is related to hardcode Google DoH DNS server. #679
