Telegram crashes on ios 9.3.6 #633

Description

Telegram crashes when I enter my phone number, each time after I entered the six first digits.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Telegram just after installing it
  2. Enter your phone number (french for me)

Environment

Device: iPhone/iPad X Iphone 4S iOS version: 13.X Ios 9.3.6 App version: 7.X Telegram 8.1.2

I've just tried again and it seems the problem only happens with french numbers. I've tried with a US number, for example, and had no problem of crash when entering the number.

I've reset completely my iPhone, and it still crashes when I enter the 6th digit. I confirm that it only does it with French. I've tried with several other countries, and beside warning me that the number I enter is wrong, I have no problem.

I've updated Telegram to version 8.2.1, and the problem remains.

I am running iOS 10.3.3, and I can confirm that this indeed applies specifically to french numbers (+33 area code), and the crash occurs when typing in the 6th digit of the phone number.

NOTE: it is possible to work around the issue, by typing your phone number with another country's area code, and then, once you have finished typing out the number, change only the area code part, back to +33 for France.
